My research was initially an attempt to discover where 'my people' came from. It has changed my opinion of myself  and of my family; clarifying queries, disproving rumours and asking many more questions than it answered! I have  discovered that we are all our own quilt- made up of many different pieces of individual fabric. And, like every family tree, it is constantly under construction, and undergoing alteration. New discoveries and new  generations both of ancestors and descendants are being uncovered all the time.
